Oh Chill Subs. I love you so. I didn't even notice all the things you mentioned -- you are a work in progress, like we all are. I talk about you all the time. I have a crush that needs no hiding. Keep doing what you're doing!!!

I gave a keynote recently at a conference for undergraduate editors of lit mags. One of the things I told them is that mistakes are okay! It is so easy to look at a writer or other successful literary person and imagine they got where they got purely by diligence, focus and discipline, without ever fucking up, embarrassing themselves, making really bad choices. I've certainly had my share, especially one experience I still cringe over more than a decade after the fact. (A story for another time.) But this is just the way. It's so clumsy so much of the time! No one should let the fear of making mistakes stand in the way. You guys are building something vital for the community.

Its important to remember the writing (literature or code)safety practices

12A- if you are going to smash your keyboard:

-confirm its not attached as in a laptop

-confirm it is yours

-confirm you have a spare as there is usually an urgency

Note: its always safer to drop it on the floor and do the stomping technique to protect your fingers as you still have some typing to do.

What a great post. It's true, you are funny. I think I love most that you drop profanity the way most people talk. You're real people, not corporate ass-fuck. May your tribe prosper.
