This sounds really lovely. All we can hope, as users, is that Chill Subs won't go the way of Substack and gradually forget its purported audience (writers) in favor of homogenizing the platform with every other one out there. If this truly prioritizes writers, it could be an amazing thing.
Well we promise to never give anyone the option of launching a podcast. But also for sure, no. We would never have the incentive or resources to do this kind of thing and since we have no investors, nobody can ever force us to for the sake of bloating our audience.
Benjamin- yes please. I started a Substack called poetry clubhouse for all the reasons- just to share our poems- help with editing- resources for submitting- community for the sake of community. (I plugged chillsubs there). But I really have no idea about how all the tech stuff works so if you build it I will bring all five of my subscriber clubhouse buddies with me. I’m already a premium member and plan to keep that up because you make me laugh. See how easy?
I cannot wait. I use chill Subs so much with what you've created already, and recommend it almost anytime I talk about writing and publishing. You guys are always thinking of new ways to actually provide what we need as writers and the current environment. Thank you for all you do and I'm excited to see what is coming up.
Once I start making a smidgen of a living from my writing I am becoming a premium member. Absolutely love what you guys are doing. Love love love the idea of book/writing clubs on the platform.
Also, if you need an administrator to help you pull this off I'm looking for a new job. I am currently a civil service admin robot with a history of marketing. My underlying malady is poor poet syndrome so I'm looking for something poet adjacent to ease the symptoms.
Wait, so chill subs will actually have 10,000 typewriters going non stop… we will eventually write Shakespeare!
Hahah many many years from now…maybe

Though I can't afford it now, in my heart I am already a premium member.
this all sounds pretty great

Yay! Thank you! I hope we will pull it over. It’s what we’ve always dreamed would exist
This sounds AWESOME! You’ll never get a pleading cat from me, because I already believe 😏
Yay! but I mean, everyone is always welcome to send cat photos just for fun.
How about cats doing karate then?
Uh….hell yes
