This rambling and incoherent brand of communication is fun when you're in high school (maybe even college), but you're running a business, one people rely on and you all know is much needed in the literary community. No pressure, but the lack of professionalism is concerning.
This is where I talk like this. It’s sort of the point of this diary. Causal behind the scenes silliness. It’s got cartoon birds! I mean, I get you. But we’re also building a community with people and this is not our official newsletter. Promise to be on my best behavior there.
I get it - and I see the humor and silliness. It's just so hard to get honest feedback from people other than knee-jerk reactions. I thought you might appreciate hearing from someone who cares if you succeed. You represent the company and you're often the first person people see or associate with. I appreciate you responding. I didn't mean to come off so strong - just a concerned citizen.
Those are all fair points. I sometimes forget that a. We’re at a point where a lot of folks aren’t as casually familiar with us. And b. It’s not always clear where information is coming from with our different projects (as in, I wouldn’t be so rambly with sub club or forever workshop). But we’re cleaning that up. I’ll work on it. Maybe add some quick note to this newsletter that it is our startup diary meant to be a bit of a mockery of startup diaries. Haha there is such a thing as too honest with behind the scenes
Made sense to me! Not that I wouldn't like it all to be free, though!

Haha I don’t know if that’s better. But I appreciate it
